Face à la matérialisation des corps - chosification sur les réseaux sociaux, instrumentalisation de la reconnaissance faciale...- le projet “Le Portrait Nu“ questionne notre rapport à l’identification et à notre corps comme identité, une expérience non spectaculaire, brute, sans effet, ni esthétisme, mais intense, réelle. Durant l’été 2019, 14 personnes, connues ou inconnues, sont venues poser, nues, à l’atelier répondant à une invitation sur les réseaux sociaux. Phase 1, un portrait de la personne nue est réalisé au smartphone. Phase 2 : des esquisses rapides, sans visage, sont réalisées à la main (une vingtaine par tête à tête, ou corps à corps). Seuls quelques dessins sont conservés puis augmentés “a posteriori“ (020) par un geste minimal, oblique, et monochrome. Chaque ensemble (dessins + portrait photo) documente l’expérience et devient un objet artistique original. Plusieurs visions du sujet qui interrogent notre rapport au corps et à l’identité.
Facing the growing materialization of the body - social networks, facial recognition ... “The Naked Portrait” project questions our relationship to identification and to our body as identity, an unspectacular, raw experience, without effect or aesthetics, but intense, real. During the summer 2019, 14 people, known or unknown, came to pose, naked, at the studio responding to an invitation on social networks. Step1, a portrait of the naked person was taken with the smartphone. Step2: quick esquisses without face were drawn by hand (approx.20model). Only a few drawings were kept and increased later (020) by a minimal, oblique, and monochrome gesture. Each ensemble (drawings + photo portrait) documents the experience and becomes an original artistic object. Several visions of the subject that question our relationship to the body and identity.
