The ensemble “IZAN HADI“ interrogates the ternary composition of our identity (body, mind, soul) - precisely the place of the soul - in a contemporary approach of the portrait, a renewed ontology inviting to the reinvention of ourself before the advent of artificial intelligence and human breeding. “IZAN HADI“ is a body of 159 drawings and paintings made between 2017 and 2019, in 8 series. Each series is a new heartbeat, a digression, artistic, emotional, having its own symbolism, its own dynamics. A recurring motif - meaning less the same than the different - acts both as a surface or a limit and as a territory of thoughts, the “sign“ reminding icon, cameo, face, mask, cell, seed, heart ...“Izan Hadi“ is a Basque expression used to say “goodbye“ and meaning “become who you should become“.

L’ensemble “IZAN HADI“ interroge le principe ternaire de nos identités (corps, esprit, âme) - en particulier la place de l’âme - dans une approche contemporaine du portrait, une ontologie renouvelée invitant à la réinvention de soi avant l’avénement de l’intelligence artificielle et de l’élevage humain. Regroupant 169 dessins et peintures réalisés entre 2017 et 2019, “IZAN HADI“ est constitué de 8 séries. Chacune est une nouvelle pulsation, une digression, plastique, émotionnelle, ayant sa propre symbolique, sa propre dynamique. Un motif récurrent - signifiant moins le même que le différent - agit comme surface ou limite et comme territoire de pensées, le “signe“ évoquant icône, camée, visage, masque, cellule, graine, cœur...“Izan Hadi“ est une expression basque utilisée pour se dire “au revoir“ et signifiant à peu près “deviens ce que tu dois devenir“.
